Stone Machinery Exhibition presents an intelligent trend. Fujian local enterprise technology is upgraded.

**Abstract** As a crucial component of the upstream sector in the stone industry, the development of stone machinery significantly influences the entire industry. At the 13th Xiamen International Stone Fair, the latest and most advanced stone machinery stood out as a major highlight. Through the exhibition, it became evident that while the stone industry is undergoing transformation, stone machinery is continuously upgrading its technology and accelerating its journey toward intelligent manufacturing. **Local Enterprise: Technology Upgrade** At this year’s exhibition, local stone machinery companies made a strong impression. Companies like Xiagong, Longgong, and Jingong showcased their latest innovations, while industry leaders such as Shengda, Fuda, VIA, Giant Wheel, and Wanlong also participated. The fair attracted numerous domestic and international buyers, and many stone machinery firms presented their most advanced equipment. For instance, XGMA introduced a new-generation mine-type crawler hydraulic excavator with improved performance and quality. Featuring an imported turbocharged engine for enhanced power, the machine also incorporates Xiagong’s patented technologies, including the “Engine Exhaust Gas Treatment Device” and the “New Adjustable Damping Device,” which contribute to energy efficiency and reduced emissions. The advancement in stone processing machinery is largely focused on digitalization and intelligence. Large cutting and grinding machines at major booths now operate with numerical control systems. At Platinum Machinery’s booth, an intelligent robot drew significant attention. This robot demonstrated skills such as stone handling, sanding, and cutting. According to the staff, the robot is fully computer-controlled and can perform various basic stone processing tasks by switching tools. It can even handle some preliminary engraving work. In harsh working environments, labor shortages are becoming more common, and this robot offers a reliable alternative, helping to automate the production line. With the integration of other smart equipment, stone processing companies can move towards building modern smart factories, transforming the traditional production model of the industry. **Taiwanese Enterprises: Strengthened Collaboration** In addition to the continuous technological improvements from local enterprises, Taiwanese companies have shown growing interest in the mainland market. At the Xiamen Stone Fair, Lin Gaorong, chairman of the Taiwan Association of Stone and Mineral Products Industry, led a delegation of mainly stone machinery companies. Huatongxing Machinery, a company based in Hualien for over 30 years, previously exported to Thailand and Japan. Last year, due to being on the early receipt list of ECFA's tax-free machine tools, it participated in the Xiamen Exhibition for the first time and managed to sell five units in one go. Deng Xinghua, who experienced success, is now more confident and plans to bring the latest water mill and polishing machine directly to Xiamen this year. Lin Gaorong noted that there are thousands of stone factories on the mainland, but few high-quality processing machines. Taiwanese companies have long supplied equipment for European, American, and Japanese markets, and their technology is highly mature. Although the mainland's stone machinery still lags behind Taiwan in some areas, the cost of shipping machinery to the mainland — including 17% VAT and freight — makes it less competitive compared to products from Europe and China. To overcome this challenge, many Taiwanese companies are now considering setting up assembly plants in the mainland. This approach not only brings advanced technologies to the region but also fosters closer collaboration between enterprises on both sides, ultimately driving the overall development of the stone machinery industry.
