Since the surfacing layer has good heat resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal crack resistance, it can be preheated before welding and is not heat treated after welding. The chemical composition of the surfacing layer is equivalent to the addition of Mn content to the 2Cr13 stainless acid-resistant steel (see table).
