After 9 months of preparation, Jinjiang Equipment Manufacturing Association was formally established yesterday (May 8th), with more than 180 members, and Ke Jinding, general manager of Fujian Jingong Machinery Co., Ltd., was elected as the first president. Ke Jinding said that the association will make a fuss about information sharing, resource complementarity, and group cooperation to enhance the overall competitiveness and external voice of Jinjiang equipment manufacturing industry.
There are more than 800 equipment manufacturing enterprises in Jinjiang, covering textile machinery, shoe-making machinery, stone machinery, engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, auto parts, casting machinery, etc. The number of employees and annual output value of the industry exceeds 4 respectively. Ten thousand yuan and 10 billion yuan have become another emerging industry after Jinjiang's five traditional industries such as shoes and clothing.
The key equipment base of Fujian's equipment manufacturing industry (Jinjiang) was approved for construction in 2007, but the base has set a high threshold for entry, and many Jinjiang enterprises are discouraged. In the future, Jinjiang will also set up Jinjiang Equipment Manufacturing Industry Investment Co., Ltd. to develop and construct equipment manufacturing professional parks and equipment manufacturing standardization workshops in an “order-based†model, and provide a development carrier for the expansion of member companies' implementation of scale expansion.
