20Cr2Ni4A
Material Name: Alloy Structural Steel
Grade: 20Cr2Ni4A
Features and Application Scope:
20Cr2Ni4A is a high-quality alloy steel known for its excellent strength, toughness, and hardenability. It is commonly used in large-section components that require carburizing treatment. However, it cannot be directly quenched after carburizing to reduce the residual austenite in the surface layer. The material has moderate machinability and cold deformation properties. Its weldability is poor, so preheating to around 150°C is necessary before welding. Additionally, it is sensitive to white spot formation during operation and may exhibit temper embrittlement. This steel is ideal for manufacturing large gears, shafts, and other parts requiring high strength and toughness after quenching and tempering.
