In April, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.3% year-on-year.
According to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first quarter, the profits of the industry in 22 regions across the country reached 322.7 billion yuan, down 32.2% year-on-year. The decline was 7.3 percentage points lower than that in January-February, and industrial profits rebounded.
Among the 39 major industrial sectors, the profit growth of 18 industries rebounded (or the decline). Among them, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry turned from a loss of 940 million yuan in January-February to a profit of 1.11 billion yuan. The profit of the petroleum processing and coking industry continued to increase substantially, and the profit increased from 8.19 billion yuan in January-February to 17.39 billion yuan. In the same period last year, the net loss was 21.64 billion yuan. The chemical fiber industry was converted from a loss of 160 million yuan in January and February to a profit of 230 million yuan. The power industry reduced losses by 650 million yuan from January to February. The profit growth of the textile and garment industry was from January to February. 17.6% rose to 24.4%, the profit of special equipment manufacturing industry increased from 5.6% in January and February to 0.6%, and the transportation equipment manufacturing industry decreased from 41.9% in January and February to 28.4%. The profit of the steel industry fell by 99.2%.
In 22 regions, the industry's main business income was 7.8267 billion yuan, down 0.7% year-on-year, and the decline was 2 percentage points lower than that in January-February.
At the end of March, the industrial receivables of 22 regions were 2,977.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7%, and the growth rate dropped by 0.4 percentage points from January to February. The funds for finished products reached 1,546.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%, and the growth rate dropped by 3.6 percentage points from January to February. (Note: 22 regions in the country refer to industrial enterprises above designated size in 22 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) except Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Hunan, Guangdong, Anhui, Hainan, Chongqing, Yunnan, and Tibet. The main business income accounts for 77.2%. Total profit accounted for 78.6%.
On April 2, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in January-February 2009, the income from the main business of the above-scale industries was 6,060.1 billion yuan, down 3.1% year-on-year (27.4% in the same period last year); the profit was 219.1 billion.
