Wire glass use precautions

1. Wired glass is typically packaged in containers, pallets, or wooden crates. Each individual piece is wrapped in plastic bags or paper to ensure protection. The glass and its packaging are filled with soft, non-abrasive materials to prevent scratches. Clear labels should be affixed, including instructions such as "face up," "handle with care," along with details like thickness, size, type, and the brand name of the glass.

2. During transportation, wired glass must not be placed flat or at an angle. It should be aligned with the direction of the vehicle, and rainproof covers must be used. When handling, avoid any contact with hard objects to prevent damage. Unused products should be stored in a dry room, standing upright on an A-frame, tilted between 5 to 10 degrees from vertical, and secured with ropes for stability.

3. Before installation, the glass should be protected from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and rain. At the construction site, it should be kept in a well-ventilated and dry area. In case of sudden weather changes or heavy rain, workers should inspect the site promptly to prevent moisture from seeping into the packaging or causing water leakage from the wire edges.

4. When installing brushed glass, avoid rough handling. Handle it gently and evenly to maintain its integrity. The window frame should be made from high-precision, rust-resistant materials, and the thermal expansion differences between the glass and frame should be carefully considered. The dimensions of the glass and the frame must match precisely, ensuring that the glass is slightly smaller than the frame opening. The depth of the glass groove and the frame's recess should meet specifications. A four-sided frame design is recommended to allow quick drainage of rainwater and condensation, keeping the glass dry and free from moisture buildup.

5. The metal frame should never come into direct contact with the glass. Instead, high-quality sealing materials should be used between the glass and the frame. Compatibility with PVB film is essential. Silicone rubber or polysulfide rubber sealants are highly recommended. All installation designs and procedures must comply with the national mandatory industry standard JGJ113-97, "Technical Regulations for Building Glass Applications."
