This visual method allows inspectors to easily record measurements and track results efficiently. Additionally, it provides a clear visual indication of whether parts meet specifications, and the pass rate can be further analyzed using Excel. While this approach is effective for quality traceability, manually creating these diagrams can be time-consuming due to the repetitive tasks of drawing circles, arrows, and numbers.
To address this issue, we developed an AutoLISP application through AutoCAD's secondary development tools. This applet functions as a custom command within AutoCAD, significantly streamlining the process of generating circle diagrams. The program allows users to input a starting number and text height, and then automatically places the circle, arrow, and numbered label by clicking on the required points. The number increments automatically, eliminating the need for manual entry. As a result, the efficiency of creating circle charts can be improved by up to 5 to 10 times, making the entire process faster and more accurate. By reducing repetitive work, this tool not only saves time but also minimizes errors, making it an essential addition for engineers and inspectors working with detailed drawings.
