Before starting the installation, make sure to inspect the electric pump for any damage or deformation that may have occurred during transportation, storage, or installation. When the unit is in a vertical position, the oil level should be aligned with the oil filling port.
For submersible pumps equipped with a cooling water hood, ensure that clean, cold water is supplied and that the drainage system is clear. The cooling water should flow from the bottom to the top of the unit.
**Monitoring After Startup**
Once the pump is running normally, continuously monitor the power supply voltage, working current, pump flow, and vibration levels. If any of the following occur, stop the pump and perform an inspection immediately:
- The operating current exceeds the rated current.
- At rated head, the flow rate drops by more than 20% or the water is discharged intermittently.
- The power supply voltage is too high or too low.
- The pump experiences excessive vibration or unusual noise.
**Installation Guidelines**
Electrical wiring must be performed by a qualified electrician according to the circuit diagram. Continuously test the insulation resistance during installation. After completion, the motor’s insulation resistance should be no less than 5 megohms. Lift the pump slightly, run it briefly, and observe the rotation direction. View the pump from the motor side; it should rotate clockwise. If it does not, swap any two of the three-phase power lines.
Never use the pump’s cable as a lifting rope, as this can cause serious safety hazards. Ensure the pump is fully submerged in water and installed vertically. Do not place it horizontally or allow it to get stuck in sludge. Always turn off the power before moving the pump.
**Storage Recommendations**
After extended use, run the pump in clean water for a few minutes to prevent sediment buildup and maintain internal cleanliness. If the pump will not be used for an extended period, remove it from the water to reduce the risk of moisture affecting the motor’s stator winding and extend its lifespan.
Under normal operating conditions, after one year of use, the pump should undergo maintenance. Replace any worn parts, check the tightness of components, and replenish or replace bearing grease and insulating oil in the oil chamber to ensure optimal performance.
