The hub bearing is an important traveling part of the car. The hub axle bears the conflict resistance when the chassis is lowered; the burden of maintaining the normal running of the car. Therefore, the hub bearing needs to be protected as scheduled.
1. View of the hub bearing (1) When viewing the tightness of the hub bearing; firstly, the axle of the wheel at one end of the wheel of the car is inspected; the vehicle is safely framed with a vehicle stool, a wooden cover, etc.
(2) Change the number of wheels to be inspected by hand; see if the transition is stable; whether there is abnormal noise. If the transition is unstable and there is a conflicting sound; clarify that the brake is not normal, if there is no noise; Smooth and tight when tight; clarify that the bearing is somewhat abnormal. The wheel should be removed when the above abnormal image is presented.
For small cars; when looking at the hub bearings; grasp the upper and lower sides of the tires with both hands; pull the tires back and forth with both hands; repeat it repeatedly. If it is normal; there should be no feeling of looseness and blockage, if it is shaken, it is significantly loose. Feeling; the wheel should be dismantled.
(3) Viewing the brakes. Usually when viewing the wheel bearing; check the wheel brake equipment by the way; if there is oil on the inside of the tire; it can be caused by the oil leakage of the brake
cylinder or the brake oil pipe; Clear reason; to be removed.
2. The protection of the hub bearing is before the hub is disassembled; the preparation of the hub protection should be done; the car should be stopped and the axle should be set up to ensure the safety of the protection operation.
(1) Remove the embellishment cover and dust cover of the hub shaft head.
(2) Remove the tire nut and tire; pay attention not to hurt the thread of the tire bolt. If it is a disc brake; remove the brake; then use the pliers to remove the lock ring or lock pin.
(3) Remove the hub with a special tool,
(4) scrape off the old grease in the bearing, journal and hub cavity; use the scavenger to remove the hub bearing and journal and wipe it with a cloth; finally wipe the inner cavity of the hub with a cloth.
(5) Look at the hub bearing and the bearing race; find the appearance of cracks, fatigue and looseness of the bearing roller; replace the bearing. If it is found that there is pitting on the bearing race; also replace the bearing.
(6) Check the cooperation between the inner diameter of the bearing and the journal; the cooperation gap should not be greater than 0. 1Omm when measuring the journal; it should be measured in the upper and lower parts of the vertical ground (the largest wear part is where it is). The application limit of the rule; the bearing should be replaced; the normal cooperation gap should be restored. It is not allowed to burr and pitting on the journal to reduce the gap.
(7) After all the parts meet the requirements; the inner bearing is modified into grease and placed in the wheel hub.
(8) Pay attention to the grease in the bearing cavity; squeeze the grease into the bearing until the grease comes out from the other side of the bearing. Apply a thin layer in the hub cavity and the shaft cap. Grease; make it anti-rust effect. Pay attention to the grease in the hub cavity, do not change too much; otherwise it will affect heat dissipation and braking.
(9) Put the hub and outer bearing back on the journal; screw the shaft adjustment nut by hand; then tighten the adjusting nut with the shaft wrench according to the regular torque. After tightening the nut; turn the wheel a few turns left and right; The condition of the bearing device, on the other hand; after the transformation, the bearing and the seat ring cooperate correctly. At this moment, the bearing tightness is appropriate; the wheel is free to change and no axial gap is felt.
(10) The final sequence of locking devices, fixing nuts, tires, dust cover and embellishment cover and other parts.
(11) After the hub bearing is adjusted; travel a distance (about 1Okm); parking view; temperature used to wipe the hub; if it is hot; caused by over-tightening of the bearing; should be adjusted from the beginning; properly loosen the bearing tightness .
