Major breakthroughs have been made in the beneficiation technology of the Kazakubakuta tungsten mine

On December 23rd, Hong Kong Jiaxin International Resources Investment Co., Ltd. organized relevant experts in Changsha to review the report of its beneficiation test technology commissioned by Hunan Nonferrous Metal Research Institute on its holding Bakuta tungsten mine in Kazakhstan. The group of experts led by Academician Sun Chuanxi of the Beijing Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy listened to the project report and reviewed the experimental research report. After questioning and discussion, it was agreed that: The Hunan Hunan Nonferrous Metals Research Institute to undertake the beneficiation test project process is reasonable and reliable, technical indicators To reach the international advanced level, the research report can be used as the design basis for the next stage.

The Bakuta tungsten mine is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was discovered by former Soviet experts in the late 1960s and proved reserves of about 270,000 tons. It is a world-class large-scale open-pit tungsten mine, and reserves can be included in the world’s top ten reserves. Tungsten. The research and development of the beneficiation test technology of the Hunan Nonferrous Metals Research Institute and the Bakuta tungsten mine in Kazakhstan should start from 2015.

In 2015, the tungsten mine investor Hong Kong Jiaxin International Resources Investment Co., Ltd.'s Kazakh Jietesu Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd. entrusted the Hunan Nonferrous Metals Research Institute to conduct a beneficiation test and development of the Bakuta tungsten mine. Immediately after the commissioning of the trial, a team of experts was organized to conduct scientific research. On the one hand, the Bakuta tungsten mine is a medium-grade quartz vein large-scale open-pit tungsten mine. The scheelite inlay grains are very inconsistent and mostly small particles are encased in quartz grains; on the other hand, the annual average temperature of the mining area is low. The ore dressing agents have poor anti-low temperature capability, weak collection capacity, low recovery rate, and large chemical consumption. The research team led by Chen Daixiong’s chief engineer after two years of scientific research completed the research work from the process flow test to the expansion of the test, and achieved a major breakthrough. The experiment developed a new dual-functional tungsten mineral collector HW with independent intellectual property rights. The agent has the advantages of good water-solubility, good collectorability, and strong selectivity, which ensures the excellent beneficiation index of tungsten flotation. Closed-circuit test has obtained an excellent index of tungsten concentrate containing WO3 65.55%, recovery rate of 87.74%. Compared with the former Soviet Union, the recovery rate of the beneficiation indicators has greatly increased by more than 15 percentage points. Advanced technology creates significant economic benefits, ensures that all products are high-quality tungsten concentrates, does not require high-contamination hydrochloric acid to leach dephosphorization, decalcify calcium carbonate, and the process flow is simplified, the cost is reduced, wastewater can be recycled after being processed, and the beneficiation wastewater is zero Emissions, green.

According to the Institute's feasibility study report, the Bakuta tungsten mine will use the latest flotation column beneficiation technology and pharmaceuticals in the Institute, with a high recovery rate for ore beneficiation, easy mining and easy selection of comprehensive benefits, and a low-cost, high-efficiency mine. .

China and Kazakhstan are close neighbors and have great potential for cooperation. They are ideal destinations for long-term investment and development of powerful companies. The breakthrough of this project resulted in a win-win cooperation between the two sides. While accumulating experience for the successful “going out” of the hospital, it also laid a solid foundation for the hospital’s deep cooperation with Kazakhstan and the non-ferrous metals sector in Central Asian countries. The implementation of the “Belt and Road Initiative” important layout of the Institute has become the largest winner of Hunan Nonferrous Research Units benefiting from the technological output of the “One Belt and One Road” initiative.
