Heat Treatment:
- Delivery Condition: Brinell Hardness HBW10/3000 ≤235
- Preheating: 790°C ±15°C
- Heating: 1000°C (salt bath) or 1010°C (furnace with controlled atmosphere), ±6°C
- Soaking: 5–15 minutes
- Cooling: Air cooling
- Tempering: 550°C ±6°C
Annealing and hot working processes are also typically applied to improve machinability and formability.
Properties and Uses:
H13 is a high-performance hot work die steel known for its excellent thermal fatigue resistance and high hardness at elevated temperatures.
