7051 insecticide belongs to the category of antibiotic bio-pesticide , mainly the metabolic activity products of the 7051 strain found in the nearly 10,000 soil microorganisms isolated from China's soil. Its chemical structure is the same as that of Merck's Avermectin in the United States, and it is a sixteen-membered macrolide structure. After biomarking, the 7051 strain was a Streptomyces 7051.SO and its metabolically active product was named 7051 Insecticidal. Field application tests have shown that 7051 insecticide has excellent control effects on a variety of common refractory pests. Moreover, it has the advantages of low dosage (only 0.2-0.5 g per mu), easy decomposition in nature, low residue, and compliance with the environment.

The total area of ​​prevention and control was nearly 100 million mu, and good economic and social benefits were achieved. In 1996, he was awarded the A-level major achievement in the "Eighth Five-Year Plan". In 1997, he won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Chemical Industry.
