Shandong University develops ZnO gas sensor using porous nanosolids

The scientific research project of Shandong Province, which was undertaken by Academician Jiang Minhua of Shandong University, and the preparation, characterization and application of nanomaterials and devices, recently passed the technical appraisal organized by the Science and Technology Department of Shandong Province. For the first time, this topic developed a ZnO gas sensor using porous nanosolids, which successfully solved the problem of excessive intrinsic resistance and poor working stability of ZnO gas sensors that have plagued sensor manufacturers for many years. The III-V semiconductor nanocomposite luminescent material and zinc oxide porous nanosolid gas sensor developed by the project are the first in China and abroad.

This topic is the first in the world to carry out research on semiconductor nanocrystal/organic dye composite luminescent materials, and has prepared a series of composite luminescent materials, and the luminous efficiency has reached the international advanced level of similar materials. The idea of developing porous nanosolids was first proposed, and a versatile controlled vaporization solvent hot pressing method was developed. A series of oxide porous nanosolids were successfully prepared and based on the development of new exchange methods. Highly efficient porous nanosolid composite luminescent material.

High-efficiency semiconductor nanocomposite luminescent materials have important application value in the fields of display device development, biomolecular fluorescence identification, etc. The new porous nano-solid gas sensor and related technologies are automatically monitored in traffic safety, mine safety and chemical production. Other aspects have broad application prospects.
