Harbin Institute of Technology is facing the development of science and technology and industry in Heilongjiang Province, and further promotes the model of “production, study and research allianceâ€. Especially worth mentioning is the construction of equipment manufacturing technology innovation research and development engineering platform. Since the platform was approved by experts in June 2009, various construction work is currently under steady development.
The platform is planned to build 7 sub-platforms. The first phase of the project selected 10 research directions including “Machinery Equipment Key Technologiesâ€, “Robot and Mechatronics Complete Equipment Technology†and “Energy and Energy Saving Equipment Technologyâ€. In addition, it has created 10 technological transformation projects and original high-tech industrialization projects that cooperate with enterprises in Heilongjiang Province.
In fact, the focus of Harbin Institute of Technology on building the “Industry-University-Research Alliance†model is to strengthen scientific research cooperation with enterprises in Heilongjiang Province in high-tech industries such as equipment manufacturing, new materials, new energy, electronic information and national defense. It is understood that Harbin Institute of Technology and Qizhong Numerical Control Equipment Co., Ltd. cooperated with the digital design and manufacturing technology research project of heavy-duty lathe CNC machine tools, and the key technology research project of heavy-duty CNC milling and heavy-duty CNC forging equipment cooperated with Qiqihar Second Machine Tool Plant. The construction of key projects and major projects provides key domestic equipment, breaking the high-end heavy-duty CNC machine tools, and the heavy-duty CNC machine tools required for large-scale and extra-large parts processing mainly rely on imports, bringing huge social benefits.
