At the annual meeting of the Sichuan Nanotechnology Association held on February 28, Bai Chunli, executive vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chief scientist of the National Nanotechnology Coordination Steering Committee, published an academic report, arguing that Sichuan's nano-science research will definitely promote the overall level of science and technology.

At present, the material industry including nanomaterials has accounted for more than 30% of the total industrial output value of our province. Relying on the research results of universities and institutes such as Sichuan University, Electronic Science and Technology University, and Chinese Academy of Sciences, there are hundreds of nano-materials and nano-biotechnology manufacturers in Panzhihua Iron and Steel Research Institute and Zigong Cemented Carbide.
