The western geology survey and inspection of the western section of the Daying* Mine in Inner Mongolia, which was invested and organized by the Central Geological Survey, has recently passed expert review and acceptance, adding new resources to a large scale. The results further expand the scale of the Daying* deposit, extending the Hangjin-Dongsheng* ore belt to the west by nearly 20 km, and has greatly expanded the search space in the northern Ordos Basin.

The development of the Daying* Mine West* Mine Survey is an important work plan for the implementation of the spirit of the central leadership’s comrades and the further expansion of the prospecting achievements following the major exploration results of the Daying* ore census. The project was launched in 2013. The total investment of the central geological survey was 24.6 million yuan. A total of 14,587.75 meters of drilling work was completed, and 1,556 test samples were collected. The project results will provide further resources for the construction of the Daying* mineral resources development base.
Through the survey, there were 8 industrial mine holes, 6 mineralized holes, and 6 abnormal holes. According to the general industrial index of in-situ sand-leaching sandstones, four ore bodies were delineated with reference to the ore body number of the Daying* deposit. Estimated new* resources amount to the scale of large-scale minerals. It further expanded the size of the Daying* deposit and extended the Hangjin-Dongsheng* ore belt nearly 20 kilometers westward. In addition, the discovery of new ore deposits and new mineralization horizons in the western part of the Daying Basin greatly expanded the search space in the northern Ordos Basin.
